A good security officer will always make his guard patrols as random as possible. Just imagine if a potential break in was going to happen in the building that you are guarding. The robber would probably stake out the place to see if there are any security patrols and how frequently the patrols take place. The robber would also look to see if you do your patrols at the same times, and if you do, he has a window to make the attempted burglary. So keep all your guard patrols random in a way to offset any possible break in. A true security guard knows his job.
