They usually develop on the edges of your lips. Sometimes they form around the mouth or gums. Cold sores are painful fluid-filled lesions caused by highly communicable Herpes Simplex virus. It’s the same virus that can give you genital herpes. Although, there’s no cure yet for the virus, cold sores have treatment and cold sore remedies.
The infection can spread from one person to another by direct contact or from contaminated belongings. Symptoms will show if you already got the virus. You will feel a tingling sensation on the infected spot. You can’t stop it from occuring but you can prevent other harsh effects of cold sores.
