My Sister Had an Allergic Reaction to Latex in the Hospital
My sister was in the hospital for a minor surgical operation last year, when she blew up like a balloon. It was obvious that she was having some sort of terrible reaction, and we all wondered what the offender was. The doctors had seen this before, so they tested her for an allergy to latex. They were right. Immediately they put a huge sign on her door announcing that everyone must wear non latex gloves when working in her room, treating her, or housecleaning, or even serving her food. It was a pretty scary ordeal, and one that she never wants to repeat. I don’t blame her at all.
